We travel along the coastal mountains and the Cibao valley to Monte Cristi. There, we visit the salt extraction plant. We have lunch on the beach and visit a Haitian Market on the border. We drive through the foothills of the Central Cordillera and visit a Dominican family where we get fresh fruits and fruit juices. We swim in a crystal clear mountain river. A day filled with contrasts since we pass different vegetation and climatic zone.
